Sencha Green Tea - Organic

The Japanese know the secret to a great tea. This tea is a distinctive, tasty delight made with luxury organic green tea. It is Japan's most popular tea and in fact, it is the most popular drink in all of Japan.  Traditionally made from and the steamed sencha tastes rich, refreshing, with a light crispness. We recommend that you sip on this energizing and detoxifying green tea.  You will love it hot or iced, any time of the day. You are going to love it for its high antioxidant properties.

IDEAL BREWING TEMPERATURE: 85ºC/185ºF. For Food Safety reasons bring water to 100ºC/212ºF and let it cool down to 85ºC/185ºF.

Bring filtered or freshly drawn cold water to a rolling boil. Place 1 slightly heaping teaspoon of loose tea for each 7-9oz / 200-260ml of fluid volume in the teapot. Briefly infuse with freshly boiled water and then pour off. Re-infuse the tea and pour after about 1 minute or longer to taste.

ICED TEA BREWING METHO(Individual Serving):
Place 1 slightly heaping teaspoon of loose leaf or 1 tea bag into a teapot for each serving required. Using filtered or freshly drawn cold water, boil and pour 6-7oz/170-200ml per serving over the tea leaves. Cover and let steep for 3 minutes. Add hot tea to a 12oz/375ml acrylic glass filled with ice, straining the tea leaves, or removing the bags. Not all of the tea will fit, allowing for approximately an additional ½ serving. Sweeten and/or add lemon to taste. A rule of thumb when preparing fresh brewed iced rooibos is to increase the strength of hot tea since it will be poured over ice and diluted
