HOW TO MAKE LAVENDER LEMONADE

To make lavender lemonade, you'll need a few ingredients and a simple recipe to follow. Here's a step-by-step guide:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 6-8 lemons)
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/2 cup honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons dried lavender tea

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the lavender-infused syrup:

    • In a small saucepan, combine 2 cups of water and the dried lavender buds.
    • Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat.
    • Let it simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    • Remove the saucepan from heat and strain the liquid through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the lavender buds.
    • Allow the lavender-infused water to cool.
  2. Make the lemonade base:

    • In a pitcher, combine the fresh lemon juice, the remaining 2 cups of water, and honey or sugar.
    • Stir the mixture until the honey or sugar is dissolved.
  3. Combine the lavender infusion and lemonade base:

    • Add the lavender-infused water to the pitcher with the lemonade base.
    • Stir well to mix all the ingredients together.
  4. Chill and serve:

    • Place the pitcher in the refrigerator to chill for at least 1 hour, allowing the flavors to blend.
    • Once chilled, you can serve the lavender lemonade over ice.
    • Optionally, you can garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh lavender or a lemon slice.

Enjoy your refreshing lavender lemonade!

IDEAL BREWING TEMPERATURE: 85ºC/185ºF. For Food Safety reasons bring water to 100ºC/212ºF and let it cool down to 85ºC/185ºF.

HOT BREWING METHOD:
Bring filtered or freshly drawn cold water to a rolling boil. Place 1 slightly heaping teaspoon of loose tea for each 7-9oz / 200-260ml of fluid volume in the teapot. Briefly infuse with freshly boiled water and then pour off. Re-infuse the tea and pour after about 1 minute or longer to taste.

ICED TEA BREWING METHOD (Individual Serving):
Place 1 slightly heaping teaspoon of loose leaf or 1 tea bag into a teapot for each serving required. Using filtered or freshly drawn cold water, boil and pour 6-7oz/170-200ml per serving over the tea leaves. Cover and let steep for 5 minutes. Add hot tea to a 12oz/375ml acrylic glass filled with ice, straining the tea leaves, or removing the bags. Not all of the tea will fit, allowing for approximately an additional ½ serving. Sweeten and/or add lemon to taste. A rule of thumb when preparing fresh brewed iced herbal tea is to increase the strength of hot tea since it will be poured over ice and diluted
